Sumatra is a lustrous fabric that is resistant to pilling and offers total protection against UV rays (UPF 50+). A distinctive treatment gives the fabric a shiny appearance or ‘wet look’ , which gave the fabric its name ‘Gloss’ . This is the perfect fabric for beachwear, sportswear and dancewear because the elastin makes it very stretchy. The fabric offers great resistance to chlorine, however we cannot assure that the print will offer such resistance as well. Garments made with Sumatra Gloss are comfortable as well as technical and glamorous.
